Going to be a busy week. My mom flies in from upstate New York on Thursday night. She'll be staying with us for 10 days. My office doubles as our guest room, so I might not get too much writing done while she is down here.

Hello everyone,

I was kind of sore and tired yesterday, after my race on Sunday. I did the 1/2 marathon at Marathon of the Palm Beaches. My official time was 2:29:13, 5 minutes and 37 seconds faster compared to last year, and a new 1/2 marathon PR - YEAH!

I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday weekend. I ate a bit too much, and didn't workout enough. Marathon of the Palm Beaches is on Sunday, so I'm doing my best to be prepared for that race. My goal is to finish the half marathon, so it is more of an event, and not a race, for me. Quite a few of my friends will be participating in the half marathon, so it should be a fun time.

Busy Racing Weekend

Good morning everyone,

I raced both days this weekend. I did a 5k road running race, at the 23rd annual Delray Beach turkey trot. And on Sunday, I raced in a 15k time trial on my triathlon bike. The time trial was awesome; I shaved 2 minutes off my PR, won 3rd place in my age group, and won a whopping $10 in prize money, which I used towards breakfast after the race with my racing team. Pretty good weekend.

Charity Bike Ride
I just signed up to do the 2010, south Florida MS150. This is a 2-day, 150 mile road bike ride that benefits the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Please visit my fundraising page, to make a donation to this terrific cause: Lynn Smythe's MS150 Page.
